Earlier this month, Keno Kozie took part in the ALA’s 2018 Annual Conference and Expo that was held at Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. We were in booth #209 and had the opportunity to meet with many of the attendees bringing diverse backgrounds and expertise to the event.

“For me, going to the ALA National Conference is special,” states Jay Kozie, founding partner of Keno Kozie. “It’s a chance to connect with some of our longest-standing clients. When Keno Kozie started, the administrator and the IT director were the usually the same person. Today we work with full IT departments on a day-to-day basis, but the conference is a great time to catch up.”

In addition, this is a great market for the company as it recently expanded its presence in the Washington, D.C., area and moved into new office space to accommodate the continued growth it has experienced since opening an office in this region in 2012. The new space and expanded staff bring even more expertise and consulting to law firms on the East Coast.

ALA’s Annual Conference is known in the legal industry for providing resources, education and networking for legal professionals across the country. The keynote speaker was John Quiñones, an “ABC News” correspondent and currently the host of “What Would You Do?” He was very well received.

According to Nicole Kelly, marketing coordinator for the company, “Keno Kozie chose to exhibit in order to connect with current clientele and to foster relationships with future clients.”

She went on to say, “This conference provided a great opportunity to meet many new people as well as to spend some time with the many attendees and exhibitors that partner with our company. It was nice to make face-to-face connections with our business partners in the professional, yet casual setting the conference provided. The tone of the conference carried that feeling: professional, yet fun! It gave attendees professional classes while allowing time for casual interactions. The conference boasts an attendee list of 952 people this year. This gave us busy booth traffic and the opportunity to chat with so many people!”
